One word for 2014

One word for 2014

I recently read a couple blogs that encouraged me to select one word for myself for 2014.   (IKHadinger.com and themomsquad.blogspot.com)

That is not as easy as it may sound.  I thought of a number of words like forward, family, adventure, simplify, and learn, but the one I settled on was growth.  Growth encompasses all of those things and so much more.  I want to grow in 2014.  I want to grow spiritually, mentally and in physical health.  I want to grow in my relationship with my husband, my family and my friends.

Growth implies forward movement, and that’s what I want to be doing in 2014, moving forward. Learning from the past but not dwelling there.  I want to take on new adventures and new challenges.

What will be your word for 2014?  What word encompasses your goals, desires, hopes and dreams for this coming year?

Check out the two blogs I referenced above and then chose your word.  I would love to hear what your choice is and why.

Have a blessed day

Paula

  1. My word is “restoration”. This word has reverberated in my mind and soul for many months as I pray, rejoice and thank God for the future HE has planned for me, whatever it may be. As I move forward, I move forward with great expectations. Watching, always watching for His blessings. Learning to trust Him in all things. Waiting, sometimes not too patiently, but waiting for the restoration HE promised.
    Psalm 71:20
Though you have made me see troubles, many and bitter, you will restore my life again; from the depths of the earth you will again bring me up.
